HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The University of Hawaii football team just suffered a tough loss to San Jose State and with just one win this season, it’s no surprise that UH fans are starting to express some concerns, but the team says they agree and are working to improve it.
“You deserve the criticism and we accept that and take responsibility for it and work our tail to get better.” Head coach Todd Graham told reporters.
After a narrow 17-13 loss to the Spartans, the ‘Bows have slowed things down this week, working on their fundamentals while reassuring their fans that better days are yet to come.
“We’re trying to instill a culture and a system, and we haven’t hit all the cylinders yet and we just have to keep it, keep being disciplined, keep working.” Coach Graham said.
The State of New Mexico is off their first victory of the season against the State of South Carolina.
In a game where they scored 43 points, but the Warriors are not worried, preparing this week to present what they call a “full game”.
“The mindset is just to win the next game, to get things done because we haven’t played a full game yet.” Running back Calvin Turner Jr. said. “Offensively we struggled a bit with San Jose and the defense is playing really well, it was the opposite the week before with Oregon State, so we were just trying to play our first full game.”
The players echo their head coach when it comes to the reviews, saying they are building a squad worth watching.
“We have built our fellowship every day. Said linebacker Darius Muasau. “Our bond between our team, our teammates and our coaches is just very strong, so we want to challenge each other every day to improve each day and be able to serve our teammates every day and serve our teammates and serve our coaches. and serve our state by winning home victories.
