Aggies Earns USTFCCCCA Academic Honors for 2021 Season

NEW ORLEANS – For the second consecutive season, the NM State Track & Field and Cross Country programs proved their talent on the field and in the classroom.

NM State Women’s Cross Country was one of 168 teams named to the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Team for the 2021 season. In 2020, the USTFCCCCA named the NM State track team on the All-Academic Team list after posting a cumulative 3.35 GPA.

To qualify, teams must have achieved at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the recent scoring period. Under Freshman Head Coach Joseph Ratthe Aggies set a combined GPA of 3.44.

The Aggies wrapped up their cross country season in Provo, Utah at the 2021 NCAA Mountain Regional, where All-WAC Second Teamers Maggie Gibbs and Richelle Sandin has posted top 100 rankings.
